China whines about U.S. Air craft coming into debated airspace

 This time the issue happened when a U.S. military flight strayed into questioned airspace close to the islands, a senior U.S. resistance official told CNN.

The United States did not expect to get inside of 12 nautical miles of the area, the authority said, and the flight was not some portion of a "flexibility of route" mission like the one that happened in late October.

In that operation, the United States sent a warship, the USS Lassen, near one of China's counterfeit islands.

That put the vessel inside of a zone that would be viewed as Chinese sovereign domain - if the United States perceived the islands as being Chinese region, a U.S. official told CNN in October.

The Chinese Defense Ministry blamed the United States for "flexing muscles" with the flight in an announcement. It said the flight included two B-52s and happened on December 10.

"The activity from the United States is a genuine military incitement. It entangles and even mobilizes the provincial circumstance in the South China Sea. We request the United States to take vital activities to keep such occasions from happening, and dodge harms to the military-to-military relations between the two nations," the service said.
 Speaking Friday about the latest occurrence including the U.S. plane, Bill Urban, a U.S. Guard Department representative, said the flight was not intended to incite the Chinese."There was no aim of flying inside of 12 nautical miles of any element," he said in an announcement. "This was not an opportunity of route operation."

He said the United States routinely leads B-52 preparing missions over the South China Sea.

"These missions are intended to keep up preparation and exhibit our dedication to fly, sail and work anyplace permitted under global law," he said.
