Sergio sacked From Espanyol
Espanyol have affirmed that Sergio Gonzalez has been sacked as the club's head mentor.
The Catalan club have won only two of their last 11 matches in all rivalries and Saturday's 1-0
annihilation to Celta Vigo has abandoned them twelfth in La Liga after 15 matches.
Sergio, who assumed responsibility of the first group in 2014 after a spell as head mentor of Espanyol B, was released taking after a meeting of the directorate on Monday, while collaborator Diego Ribera and wellness mentor Miquel Gomila have likewise cleared out.
"RCD Espanyol is appreciative to Sergio Gonzalez for his commitment to the first group and wish him the best in both his expert vocation and on an individual level," read a club proclamation. "For the club and its supporters, Sergio will dependably be a benchmark for responsibility and regard."
