Mudclo; 19 Year Old Ghanian Builds New Search Engine to Rival Google

The cyber world is really getting competitive, its no longer a world that only a computer scientist or programmer can run alone. Anyone that has a computer or a device that can connect to the internet can easily start his own cyber creation and a lot of people have been doing that lately.

One Gabriel Opare from Ghana, has taken ghana and Africa as whole to a new level by creating a new search engine which he claims will compete with Google and its subsidiary Youtube.

The 19 year old is a 300 level Sociology student of the University of Ghana is currently making headlines in the tech industry for this new search engine called Mudclo.

Mudclo Current Home Page, says its down due to security reasons

Acoording to Opare, Mudclo is a free search engine for videos where you can discover and stream videos from the different locations on the internet all in one place.

  “I believe that my business is good enough and that it can scale globally. It is a legitimate point to say that YouTube is a video hosting website, but they are two different entities. While YouTube is a video hosting website, Mudclo combines the power of YouTube and two other video hosting websites in order to create Mudclo,” he said.

Well thats a really cool archievemnet for a 19 year old boy who lives in Africa, I ain't saying that africans can't do things like this, I'm saying that is great step in the Technology aspect of Africa, especially the blacks in Africa. I'm an African and I'm black, what I'm trying to say is that its a huge step that I'm proud of.
