Why I Am Against Game Of Thrones – John Boyega
The renowned foreign actor with Nigerian background, John Boyega has
pointed out his criticism against the popular and favorite movie, Game
of Thrones. In an interview with GQ Style, the Hollywood star condemned
the lack of casting black folks in the Game of Thrones just like Lord of
the Rings, which gained wide recognition and acceptability. According
to him:
John Boyega famously known for his roles in Star Wars and the Nigerian movie on Chimamanda Adichie‘s Half of a Yellow Sun, is the latest cover of GQ Style. The 25-year old actor was born in Southern London to Nigerian parents.
“There are no black people in Game Of Thrones” “You don’t see one black person in Lord Of The Rings. I ain’t paying money to always see one type of person on-screen”He however blamed the lack of diversity as such connected to racism which should not be found in casting for British movies.
“You see different people from different backgrounds, different cultures, every day. Even if you’re racist, you have to live with that. We can ruffle up some feathers”, he ended.Yeah I'm with John on this too, its ain't cool bro, why all the hating on blacks and to summarize it all you all should say no to racism in every aspect of live, both Movies, Music, Sports and other areas, we should all work together.
