Jhene Aiko Drops Suprise Album "TRIP"

Jhene has decided to surprise her fans today by dropping her studio Album "Trip" sooner than anticipated.

This week Aiko was on a creative roll releasing a semi-autobiographical film along with some poetry titled ‘MAP mission’. This led to many fans believing her sophomore album was coming sooner than later, and they were right.

Although fans knew the album was in the works, there had been no set date and now Jhene Aiko has surprised us album by dropping the album unannounced. The LA singer comes through with 22 completely new tracks to take listeners into a psychedelic educed R&B ride. The album shows Aiko experimenting with a new sound but still showing off her incredible vocal range. There are even three tracks that are listed as freestyles from Aiko.

 ‘Trip’ also comes with features from Big Sean, Swae Lee and Brandy along with a few other familiar names. When describing the album the 29-year old singer, songwriter said it was ‘inspired by ever trip you can think of: mental, physical and even psychedelic’, it does not seem like she is wrong as it is exactly what the album captures. This is Aiko’s first album since her 2014 ‘Souled Out’ released which was also accompanied with a short a film. - Sniffers
