Lyon Striker Mariano Diaz Uncertain About Real Madrid Return
Former Real Madrid striker Mariano Diaz says he is unsure of any clauses that may allow Los Blancos to re-sign him just months after his €8 million move to Lyon.
The 24 year-old has got off to a flying start at Stade de Lyon, scoring six goals in eight appearances, prompting questions surrounding a possible buy-back clause with both Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo yet to register in La Liga.
He told Onda Cero and Radio Marca: I signed for five years with Lyon but I don’t know if Madrid have any purchase option. I had a few offers and Lyon made a strong bid for me. [Alexandre] Lacazette left a space in attack and Zidane advised me that it’d be a good option.

“I’m really pleased with how things have started. The French league is very physical and I’ve learned a lot in the last few matches.”
