Carlos Walker Aka Shawty Lo is Dead
Carlos Walker better known by his stage name “Shawty Lo” died this morning following a car accident on I-285 in his Atlanta hometown,Georgia. He was 40 years old. According to to WSBTV, he was brought out from his car after hitting a guardrail and trees at the Cascade Road exit. Two passengers were also hurt but with no serious injuries.
Shawty Lo is a Rapper and Hiphop artist, also the co-founder of D4L Record which stands for Down for Life which consisted of 3 other Atlanta based rappers.
The group signed to the indie label Dee Money Entertainment, which released the group's debut in conjunction with Asylum Records.Their debut album, titled Down for Life, was produced by Shawty Lo and later was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America- (RIAA). The album had spawned the hit singles "Betcha Can't Do It Like Me" and "Laffy Taffy".
As the frontman for D4L records, Shawty Lo scored a Billboard number one in 2006 with, “Laffy Taffy”. After the quartet disbanded, he had more success as a solo act thanks to songs like, “Dey Know”, “Dunn Dunn”, and “Foolish”. In 2011, he got signed 50 Cents GUNIT.
Carlos Walker buried his father, Carl Walker 4 days ago.
